A plumber has been asked to install a laundry tub in the fruit cellar of a single family dwellling.
The inspector is stating that the laundry tub cannot be within the fruit cellar as it is not withing
the building envelope. Opinions please …….
Interpretation:
Provided the fruit cellar has the required lighting, ventilation, and is not subject to freezing
temperatures, it is acceptable for plumbing to be installed in the fruit cellar. (see 7.1.6.1(1))
