Question: The old and new Regulation does not address the “push-on” type copper fittings recently brought on to the market, except maybe 7.2.10.4. Are these fittings certified to the proper standard and are they acceptable to the regulation for use?
Interpretation: Unless a product bears a recognized Accredited Certification Organization’s mark to validate compliance to the appropriate, acceptance would have to be based upon an ruling by the Building Materials Evaluation Committee (BMEC).
