Question: Can a chair carrier’s 2″ vent connection have a urinal discharge into it ? Would it serve as a wet vent?
Interpretation: The majority of the Code Technical committee agree that according to 7.2.4.1.(1). a T fitting shall not be used except to connect a vent pipe. If the carrier had a “Y” connection and an accredited testing agency approval, the committee would then approve the design provided the urinal was not of the siphonic type.
