Question: Are CPVC piping systems acceptable for use in a plumbing system within a required noncombustible building?

Interpretation: CPVC water distribution piping must comply with 7.2.5.9 and as such must be certified by an ACO to CSA Standard B137.6. As such, there must be an trademark of an ACO’s registered certification mark located adjacent to the B137.6 standard to prove it has been certified. In addition, this piping must be marked to indicate that it conforms to the applicable requirements of ULC S102.
